My Forever "Baon"

I thought what my research as a senior high school would be would lead me to sleepless nights, midnight snacks, exhaustion, and stress. Well, it really did. But it added a lot more of what I could imagine.

I was able to experience the joy visiting significant historical sites in Maragondon, Cavite such as Maragondon Church, Mount Pico de Loro, and Bonifacio Shrine. Not only that, me and my friends were able to create a strong bond out of the joy and hardships that we experienced.

We may not be able to get the top, but we managed to score as the best in the History and Society Category.

It was all worth it. All I could say is "baon ko ang hirap at saya ng makabuluhang karanasan na ito."

A Burst of Water, Light and Love

Marina Bay Light and Water Show is one of the must-sees in Singapore. It was very entertaining and very touching. It is actually free and one can catch it at the Event Plaza. I was glad that our tour guide was able to lead us at the place at an earlier time, and so we were able to get a good spot and of course have some selfies before the show started.

It was lovely. Dancing colorful lights and stories were portrayed. I like the bubbles at the end of the show. There were LOTS of them coming from above.

I thought I was the only one touched by the show, but our tour guide exclaimed he even cried when he first saw it.

A Glimpse of the Past

Our Lady of Assumption Paris Church, located at the heart of Maragondon, Cavite, is one of the heritage places that I really love.

It was declared as a National Heritage by the National Museum as it was one of the oldest churches in the Philippines.

Inside the church is very serene and peaceful, and one would get a feel of the Spanish era.

I found that the church is also famous as the church in De La Salle University-Dasmarinas was patterned to this structure.

Bird's Eyeview

Marina Bay Sands lets you capture a spectacular view as it would take you to soaring heights through its grand hotel.

At first, I was froze on my place as I saw the height of where I am at. Not really afraid of heights, well, just a little bit. Soon, was already enjoying the view that I did not realize I was roaming the place. I love the view and its feel. The weather is not that sunny, but it is bright enough for one to roam his eyes around the wonderful city in Singapore.

Selfies and picture taking take place all over the place. A fellow tourist might even ask you to take a photo of them. :)

Peak of Fun!

Mount Pico de Loro, located at Maragondon, Cavite, has been a popular getaway especially for mountaineers and adventure lovers.

I had no idea that time what experience would that mountain bring to me and my friends. I was speechless when I discovered that my teammates were all "geared" and "ready-to-fight" while I was only in my doll shoes with my mini-bag not larger than a pouch packed only with my "brunch" and a small bottle of water.

During the climb, I was already staggering, but thanks to them, I was not alone.

Everyone looked happy (and tired) as we reached the top. It is a great accomplishment! We were not able to climb the peak though, as the weather did not permit us. Nevertheless, it was really worth it.

I would recommend this to everyone. Just don't forget the essentials before climbing! Haha!
